Today a student came in to use the amp I have. He's a guitar player. I've frequently told him that he can come in during lunch on Fridays to use the amp, but this is only the second time he's been in. I can't say it was an overwhelming success, partly because the students heckled him and partly because he didn't deal with the heckling well. I'd love to do a "concert series" in the library. Perhaps the last Friday of every month...
I aquired an intern and she started today. I'm happy she is here. She wants my help setting up her blog, which thrills me because this is the only student who I've been able to teach this skill all year. Next year I'd at least like to have my book club members create blogs.
Enough about work... it's Memorial Day weekend and I'm heading up to East Durham, NY for a bit of ghetto camping. What is ghetto camping, you ask? Ghetto camping is camping with people who are born and raised in the Bronx. I'm not saying I don't have a good time, but this kind of camping is certainly not about "appreciating nature" or "getting some rest." The weekend could get pretty wild!
